Evangelism during the quarantine in Bolivia

Here in Bolivia we remain in quarantine and probably on the 30th of this month the government will start to release the people little by little to work. It has been a difficult day considering that most people do not have money saved in a bank for times of crisis. Most have to work each day to eat.

Yesterday I saw a mother crying because for several days she was desperately struggling to get food for her six children and besides the six children there was also an older man who is unable to work and depends on her. Honestly it all cuts the heart of anyone who sees

Speaking of evangelism, well, in the early days some brothers insisted on going out to preach, but some were arrested by the police. They had to pay fines of approximately $ 200 to get out of prison. Others have contacted us with their stories of freedom and authority, as the police have tried several times to arrest a Uruguayan missionary who preaches in the streets, but when they approach to arrest him, he rebukes in the Name of the Lord Jesus and the police are unable to approach to execute the arrest

Today this missionary called me saying that while preaching on the street, several cars from the Bolivian army stopped. Soldiers got out of the vehicle and he thought he would really be arrested. But when the soldiers approached, they brought juice and some other things for him to eat. He told me laughing at what happened this afternoon during evangelism.

We don't have much time to be on the streets, but we can go out once a week and only in the morning. They organized a weekly rotation for citizens. Monday citizens who have identities that end with numbers 1 and 2, Tuesday those that end with numbers 3 and 4 and so on.

Evangelists are taking advantage of the free shopping day to take the Word of God to the people. So, on the day that they go to the market to buy something to eat, they take advantage of that moment to talk about Jesus to the people and distribute the written Word of God.

Here in the city everything is stopped. There are no city buses, there is no taxi and we can only walk on foot and in the limited time we have, as I said before. Last week, a young evangelist came from across the city to receive evangelistic materials here at my home. He came with a backpack and I gave him the materials. I was really impacted seeing the spirit of that young man

He said he goes to the market to buy food and takes the opportunity to preach. The evangelist said that people are so heartbroken that you don't even have to hand out the leaflets, because you put it on a table and people come and get it.

In general, the pace of work has slowed a lot, but we are not stopped here. God's Word is not stopped!

Our prayer is to look for ways and to be able to advance and take the Word of God to more lives. Pray for us
