Arrival of another container with material for evangelism in Bolivia

Image
EVANGELISTIC SUPPORT PROGRAM This year 2020 has not been easy for anyone. I thought the evangelism work would be stopped, but God has been faithful and has helped us. In this video I show the arrival of the container with the printed materials for the evangelistic service in Bolivia. God has shown us that there is still much to do. Click on the video, turn on subtitles, because we have subtitles in English, German, French and many other languages

We completed 14 missions in Bolivia

Image
This year 2020 we have completed 14 years doing missions in Bolivia. But throughout this time we have learned many things in this mission field. In the development of the missionary project we have grown in knowledge and I can say that we continue to grow, gaining experience and learning from the Lord Jesus each day. It is good to remember that the work does not belong to me. God called me and put me in this service and HE has his own plan. So, I must seek from Him what I must do. Every day we pray to the Lord for guidance on the next steps, because the Work is His and not mine I praise God, as we keep moving forward each day. While there is life we must work, because the night comes when no one will be able to work. Below I will put a video where I talk a little about the experiences we have had. The video is in Portuguese, but you can activate the subtitle of Youtube to read the subtitle in your own language. We currently offer 16 languages. If not in your language, please lea...

Donation of Bibles in Bolivia

Image
EVANGELISTIC SUPPORT PROGRAM The sister in the photo (in black) above came to our Support Base last week to get bibles and brochures for work. She came with her husband and on the day they could go shopping. You know we're still in quarantine and we only have one day to go out and buy something to eat. In addition to using the single day for shopping they came from afar and on foot. There are no buses, taxis, mototaxi to get around. They told me they would come and came on foot. I handed over the bibles and the leaflets for evangelism, we talked a little about the evangelistic work and soon left the house. I went to the gate and watched the couple leave until I turned the corner and a very strong word came to my heart: How much is a Bible worth to you? They came to take others who have no resources to buy. Yesterday I was sent this photo with this young woman who won for Jesus and did not have a Bible. Beloved ones, moments of crisis like the one we are going through mak...

THE WORD OF GOD PRESENT TO THE PEOPLE OF BOLIVIA

Image
We started walking through the Bolivian fairs and noticed that a lot of people come from regions where there is no church. The Spirit of God brought our attention to this simple fact: People are spending a lot of time, or their whole lives, without having to encounter the Word of God. When I speak to encounter the Word of God it is that opportunity to hear a message of salvation, someone who says that Jesus Christ is our Savior, that there is a heaven waiting for us and that there is a God of love who is ready to forgive us. Can you imagine a person going through a lifetime without hearing such words? With this weight in my heart, my wife and I started to think and pray what to do to give these people the opportunity to have at least one encounter with the Word of God. People are coming from afar, places where there is no single church, no preachers, no evangelists, no missionaries, but they come to city fairs to buy and sell. What could we do? One day, a young man from La Pa...

THE VALUE OF EVANGELISM THROUGH LITERATURE

Image
I am always asked about work methodology. Why work with literature? Why work with a megaphone? People are so concerned with how to evangelize and do little in evangelism. They pray, fast, attend seminars, studies on evangelism and a series of preparations to reach evangelism and often get tied up with so many things that time passes and we come to the conclusion that preaching the gospel is a task for supermen. I am not here to defend anarchy or ignorance, but in the Word of God we have a simple order for a simple people: “Go and preach the gospel” (Mark 16:15). If we complicate it ourselves we will add more barriers to what in the natural world there is already a lot of barrier. My advice to anyone who wants to be used by the Lord is, do what is in your hands. Rest assured that the Word of God will always prevail. Deborah with the evangelistic booklets at our Support Base in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia EXPANDING THE VISION I have always had a great desire to d...

BIBLES FOR BOLIVIA /2020

Image
I sent booklets in Spanish to an evangelist in the city of Cochabamba. He formed a group and traveled through the mountains of the Andes of Bolivia talking about Jesus to the people. They arrived at a small village and there were some brothers there. They met in very simple houses made of stone. The floor of the house was also made of stones, but everything was well organized. There they worshiped the Lord Jesus – that place was their church. The evangelist reported that few brothers had Bibles and the leader used a Bible in Spanish. The problem is that they don’t speak Spanish, but the Quechua language. In this way, we have a great responsibility to obtain not only Spanish Bibles, but Quechua Bibles. We want to give at least one bible in the native language to leaders to teach others the Word of God. Below I will leave a video recorded by evangelist Roli in the high region of the Andes mountains of Bolivia, department of Chuquisaca. On this day they worshiped the Lord with the ...

Evangelistic material thrown to the ground

Image
I believe that every evangelist has a heart for delivering evangelistic materials and seeing people retaining the materials. In view of this concern, we seek to obtain the best material for the moment. The material we deliver at an outdoor fair may be quite different from material we use in hospitals or the office. The message that transforms is one: The Gospel. Now, the way we get this message out to the people is that we can say that there are many ways. And when we work with printed materials we must think about this detail. I had a very interesting experience at a fair in Bolivia. I was with my wife, my children and some brothers doing the distribution of the written Word of God. That day we used the materials from União Cristã, a group of brothers from Brazil who printed materials and sent them to us. Well, I realized that the number of leaflets thrown on the floor was out of the ordinary for Bolivia's level. I looked at our brochure and we distributed a material that ...

Evangelism during the quarantine in Bolivia

Image
Here in Bolivia we remain in quarantine and probably on the 30th of this month the government will start to release the people little by little to work. It has been a difficult day considering that most people do not have money saved in a bank for times of crisis. Most have to work each day to eat. Yesterday I saw a mother crying because for several days she was desperately struggling to get food for her six children and besides the six children there was also an older man who is unable to work and depends on her. Honestly it all cuts the heart of anyone who sees Speaking of evangelism, well, in the early days some brothers insisted on going out to preach, but some were arrested by the police. They had to pay fines of approximately $ 200 to get out of prison. Others have contacted us with their stories of freedom and authority, as the police have tried several times to arrest a Uruguayan missionary who preaches in the streets, but when they approach to arrest him, he rebukes in t...

THE WORD OF GOD IN INCAHUASI, BOLIVIA

Image
Our target in Bolivia has been to support evangelists who are constantly taking the Word of God to the entire nation of Bolivia I speak of Bolivia, but the Lord Jesus knows that in my heart the goal is not to reach only the people of God. Peruvian evangelists from various regions are coming to the border region in order to obtain some of the evangelistic material that we deliver free of charge A few days ago the information came to me that some were coming from Lima with the aim of obtaining printed materials and carrying out the work in their regions. This information honestly impacted me. They travel several hours from the Peruvian capital to the border with Bolivia to receive some boxes of literature! Yes, my heart burns to be able to bring the Word of God to the people of Peru too. If we are able to put the materials in the hands of the evangelists they will make the Word of God reach the people in the right way, at the right time and in the right places; nothing like workin...

TRAVEL FROM SANTA CRUZ DE LA SIERRA TO THE BORDER WITH BRAZIL – CORUMBƁ

Image
Those who follow our work on Youtube and other social networks know how much we have to travel to the border region. But why do we travel so much to the border? Well, in addition to documents that I have to act in Brazil, we also received a lot of printed material for evangelism in Brazil. We have had a lot of problems with the Bolivian post and it is less problematic to receive parcels by mail from Brazil Some churches in Brazil also offer bibles to donate and I have to go to the border region to bring them. And how do I do with Aduana? Well, here in Bolivia there is a book law that allows me to enter small quantities. Books should not be for sale and always in small quantities. Usually customs agents look and let us travel I will leave a video below with one of the trips I made to the border region. Unfortunately, I didn’t add an English subtitle. But if you really want me to add a caption, please write yourself saying.

WHEN TO USE THE LEAFLETS IN EVANGELISM?

Image
There are many ways you can use the leaflets during evangelism. I recently read that a bookstore that sells evangelistic brochures polled buyers about how they are using the brochures. Well, they selected at least 50 different methods of using printed material for evangelism. That’s really good. Something interesting to note is that the leaflets make important points clear to the recipient. I select a few: 1 – the sinfulness of man 2 – who is Jesus 3 – salvation by grace through faith, separate from works 4 – the guarantee of this free gift of salvation. Miss receiving the written Word of God Bolivia It is useful to use brochures in situations where it is difficult to really speak to a person about the Gospel. We must be aware that in most of our moments passing by people they will not have as much time to listen to you. Something that I have observed in evangelism where we use a megaphone to preach the gospel and at the same time distribute the written Word of God ...

EQUIP CHURCH OUTREACH GROUPS WITH LEAFLETS

Let’s start with the obvious. Sharing your faith is a daunting task. We live in a culture that is increasingly hostile toward the message of Jesus Christ. And many unbelievers have a very negative perception of Christians who “proselytize”. In our relativistic and pluralistic culture, evangelism is a very unpopular practice. Faced with these obstacles, many Christians prefer to think of evangelism as an optional part of the Christian life. And we are very good at coming up with excuses, aren’t we? I don’t have time to share my faith. I’m not very good at talking to people I don’t know very well. I’m afraid I would get questions I don’t know the answers to. But these excuses are just that – excuses. Biblically, there are two rock-solid truths that answer nearly every excuse that we pull out. Drive these two truths into the hearts and minds of your church family. These truths will ground your church’s mission to reach the lost. God is at work around you. Much of the appreh...

HOW TO USE GOSPEL TRACTS

In the Great Commission, Jesus Christ commanded us to, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”  (Mark 16:15) We should actively work to share the gospel with others. Pastors and evangelists play a special role by public preaching, but every Christian shares the responsibility for evangelism. We can share the gospel through one-on-one witnessing conversations, home Bible studies, and many other ways. Today, let’s talk about how to use one helpful witnessing tool—gospel tracts.   1 –  Booklets with the Gospel message Not all gospel tracts are created equal. The best gospel tracts explain man’s sin, the penalty for sin, and Christ’s substitutionary death. Be sure to get tracts that explain the gospel clearly. 2 –  Give out tracts to people you encounter in daily life. You can give them to cashiers, waitresses, doctors, or people at the local coffee shop. You can hand out tracts at public events—fairs, parades, and festiv...

WHY DO I USE BROCHURES IN EVANGELISM?

People are always asking why we use the brochures. When I am asked with such a question I always remember that God continues to use Bibles to speak to so many people. I also wonder why there is so much contempt, indifference and even persecution for those who want to use printed material to reach sinners. The impression I have is that in eangelism you can use any method, except the written method. No, use no brochure! But why? Why the opposition? Why should we believe that a job that has been proven for centuries to be extremely efficient will be ridiculous? According to Billy Graham, “Nothing surpasses a tract for sowing the seed of the Good News.” Why should a Christian use tracts? Simply because God uses them. He used a tract to save the great missionary Hudson Taylor, as well as innumerable others. That fact alone should be enough incentive for a Christian to always use tracts to reach the lost, but there are even more reasons why we should use them. Here are a few: Tracts c...

VIDEO MISSIONARY NEWSLETTER / 2017

Image
In 2017 we did a missionary newsletter for the World Missionary Press that has helped us a lot with the printed materials. In this newsletter I talk about how we are working in Bolivia, I present some of the evangelists who are with us and how we are working here. Well, the informative video I leave below. The video was recorded in Portuguese, but I invite you to activate the subtitle of Youtube to watch and see what I’m talking about Keep praying for our lives. I remind you who accompanies our work that this project is maintained with offers of love sent by those who have their hearts in the Kingdom of God. 50 WAYS TO USE GOSPEL TRACTS

I was looking on the internet for different methods of using printed materials in evangelism. Here in Bolivia the evangelists distribute the leaflets when they are with a group preaching, others just distribute the written Word of God. Other evangelists go to hospitals to visit the sick and after praying they deliver something from the written Word of God so that they can continue reading and feeding their spirit and others. But I went to look for other methods. I found a website where a store that sells evangelistic brochures ran a survey with the evangelists who bought the brochures. Well, there are 50 ways to do the distribution. I found a lot of interest and decided to share it with you. It is possible that in your region some of these forms are not permitted by law or you simply do not agree with some of these methods below. Well, everything is ok. It is possible that you have a totally different form than what I am going to put here and if you want to share with us it will b...
