THE WORD OF GOD PRESENT TO THE PEOPLE OF BOLIVIA

We started walking through the Bolivian fairs and noticed that a lot of people come from regions where there is no church. The Spirit of God brought our attention to this simple fact: People are spending a lot of time, or their whole lives, without having to encounter the Word of God.
When I speak to encounter the Word of God it is that opportunity to hear a message of salvation, someone who says that Jesus Christ is our Savior, that there is a heaven waiting for us and that there is a God of love who is ready to forgive us. Can you imagine a person going through a lifetime without hearing such words?
With this weight in my heart, my wife and I started to think and pray what to do to give these people the opportunity to have at least one encounter with the Word of God. People are coming from afar, places where there is no single church, no preachers, no evangelists, no missionaries, but they come to city fairs to buy and sell. What could we do?

One day, a young man from La Paz who attended the worship meetings at our Support Base had a dream. He dreamed that we were on a bus and threw a lot of evangelistic literature out of the bus windows
At that time I was already working with printed evangelistic materials, but I honestly did not think about the possibility of making the Word of God present to the people through literature. Thus, we contacted some brothers from São Paulo and brought evangelistic booklets in Spanish to distribute to the people of Bolivia.
But one day, I went to a small town in central Bolivia. I took my megaphone, booklets in Spanish and some booklets in Quechua. In the central region, the Quechua ethnic group in Bolivia is predominant and I believe that for this purpose I took the Quechua booklets. But when I arrived I couldn’t preach, because most people only speak Quechua. At that moment I saw the need to work with printed materials in the native language, as this is really the people who have the greatest need for the Word of God
Time passed and God showed us that my wife Mina and I would not be able to do the job alone. We should urgently involve others. And in this target in missions, God himself began to bring the evangelists to do the work and we began the hard work of supporting with printed materials these men and women of God who tirelessly are in fairs, markets, hospitals, prisons and others taking the Word of God to the people.

I finish this post asking you to pray for this project. Today, in addition to booklets, leaflets, New Testaments and other materials, we are also giving support to needy churches in the rural region with native language bibles. Usually a bible in Quechua or Aymara here in Bolivia costs seven times the price of a bible in Spanish. If you feel like helping us support these churches please contact us. God bless you and we continue on the goal that the Lord has given us to make the Word of God present to the people
God bless you
