We did the identification work, registered several evangelists and the support work was growing, but the financial supporters were not able to move forward with the project and we simply had to stop. The evangelists kept asking for the materials, but we did not have the financial support to continue with the work in the Acre region. If you look at the map I placed above you will see the city of Porto Velho. You can also see the city of Manaus in the central region of the Amazon region of Brazil. The cost of a ticket to these regions is US$730. Just to go and return the cost is US$1460. The tickets, freight, and movement of materials in the northern region are all more expensive. They are usually three times the cost to other regions of Brazil. In the last few days missionaries who are in Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana have been contacting us asking for help. We have been looking for ways to involve the church that is in the border region of Brazil with these countries with the aim of somehow providing support. But we have come to the conclusion that it is necessary to open support points in the border region and gradually provide support to the missionaries and evangelists who are in the interior of the Guianas. This is why I call you to join forces with us. I praise God for the open doors and for what the Lord Jesus has allowed us to do so far, but we need to move forward. We are entering the northeast of Brazil, but evangelists in the north are begging for support. They also want the written Word of God and to see it poured out on their own people. If you join forces with us, we will go further. We want not only the northern region of Brazil, but we want the Guianas. We want to flood Peru with the Word of God. Many villages in the northern region of Argentina need the Word and we want to go there too. Join forces with us and let us flood these places with the message of salvation while the Lord Jesus gives us time. The gospel is the eternal gospel of God, but we do not have eternity to proclaim it. Peniel N Dourado |
