We completed 14 missions in Bolivia

Image
This year 2020 we have completed 14 years doing missions in Bolivia. But throughout this time we have learned many things in this mission field. In the development of the missionary project we have grown in knowledge and I can say that we continue to grow, gaining experience and learning from the Lord Jesus each day. It is good to remember that the work does not belong to me. God called me and put me in this service and HE has his own plan. So, I must seek from Him what I must do. Every day we pray to the Lord for guidance on the next steps, because the Work is His and not mine I praise God, as we keep moving forward each day. While there is life we must work, because the night comes when no one will be able to work. Below I will put a video where I talk a little about the experiences we have had. The video is in Portuguese, but you can activate the subtitle of Youtube to read the subtitle in your own language. We currently offer 16 languages. If not in your language, please lea...

Donation of Bibles in Bolivia

Image
EVANGELISTIC SUPPORT PROGRAM The sister in the photo (in black) above came to our Support Base last week to get bibles and brochures for work. She came with her husband and on the day they could go shopping. You know we're still in quarantine and we only have one day to go out and buy something to eat. In addition to using the single day for shopping they came from afar and on foot. There are no buses, taxis, mototaxi to get around. They told me they would come and came on foot. I handed over the bibles and the leaflets for evangelism, we talked a little about the evangelistic work and soon left the house. I went to the gate and watched the couple leave until I turned the corner and a very strong word came to my heart: How much is a Bible worth to you? They came to take others who have no resources to buy. Yesterday I was sent this photo with this young woman who won for Jesus and did not have a Bible. Beloved ones, moments of crisis like the one we are going through mak...

THE WORD OF GOD PRESENT TO THE PEOPLE OF BOLIVIA

Image
We started walking through the Bolivian fairs and noticed that a lot of people come from regions where there is no church. The Spirit of God brought our attention to this simple fact: People are spending a lot of time, or their whole lives, without having to encounter the Word of God. When I speak to encounter the Word of God it is that opportunity to hear a message of salvation, someone who says that Jesus Christ is our Savior, that there is a heaven waiting for us and that there is a God of love who is ready to forgive us. Can you imagine a person going through a lifetime without hearing such words? With this weight in my heart, my wife and I started to think and pray what to do to give these people the opportunity to have at least one encounter with the Word of God. People are coming from afar, places where there is no single church, no preachers, no evangelists, no missionaries, but they come to city fairs to buy and sell. What could we do? One day, a young man from La Pa...

THE VALUE OF EVANGELISM THROUGH LITERATURE

Image
I am always asked about work methodology. Why work with literature? Why work with a megaphone? People are so concerned with how to evangelize and do little in evangelism. They pray, fast, attend seminars, studies on evangelism and a series of preparations to reach evangelism and often get tied up with so many things that time passes and we come to the conclusion that preaching the gospel is a task for supermen. I am not here to defend anarchy or ignorance, but in the Word of God we have a simple order for a simple people: “Go and preach the gospel” (Mark 16:15). If we complicate it ourselves we will add more barriers to what in the natural world there is already a lot of barrier. My advice to anyone who wants to be used by the Lord is, do what is in your hands. Rest assured that the Word of God will always prevail. Deborah with the evangelistic booklets at our Support Base in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia EXPANDING THE VISION I have always had a great desire to d...

BIBLES FOR BOLIVIA /2020

Image
I sent booklets in Spanish to an evangelist in the city of Cochabamba. He formed a group and traveled through the mountains of the Andes of Bolivia talking about Jesus to the people. They arrived at a small village and there were some brothers there. They met in very simple houses made of stone. The floor of the house was also made of stones, but everything was well organized. There they worshiped the Lord Jesus – that place was their church. The evangelist reported that few brothers had Bibles and the leader used a Bible in Spanish. The problem is that they don’t speak Spanish, but the Quechua language. In this way, we have a great responsibility to obtain not only Spanish Bibles, but Quechua Bibles. We want to give at least one bible in the native language to leaders to teach others the Word of God. Below I will leave a video recorded by evangelist Roli in the high region of the Andes mountains of Bolivia, department of Chuquisaca. On this day they worshiped the Lord with the ...

Evangelistic material thrown to the ground

Image
I believe that every evangelist has a heart for delivering evangelistic materials and seeing people retaining the materials. In view of this concern, we seek to obtain the best material for the moment. The material we deliver at an outdoor fair may be quite different from material we use in hospitals or the office. The message that transforms is one: The Gospel. Now, the way we get this message out to the people is that we can say that there are many ways. And when we work with printed materials we must think about this detail. I had a very interesting experience at a fair in Bolivia. I was with my wife, my children and some brothers doing the distribution of the written Word of God. That day we used the materials from União Cristã, a group of brothers from Brazil who printed materials and sent them to us. Well, I realized that the number of leaflets thrown on the floor was out of the ordinary for Bolivia's level. I looked at our brochure and we distributed a material that ...
